Esther Butler

ESTHER I. BUTLER 85, of Bellaire, died on Sat., Nov. 3, 2007 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility. Esther was born on Jan., 27, 1922 in Hancock, MI., the daughter of Arvid and Ida (Savela) Anderson. She was a resident of Bellaire since 1969 where she moved from Riverview. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and was a member of the Bellaire Community United Methodist Church. On May 14, 1963 in Flat Rock, MI., she married David Butler who survives. Also surviving are two children, Greg (Mary) Butler of Bellaire, Carrie (Joe) Hebden also of Bellaire, 4 step children, Karen Lewis, Kay (Jim) Wrock, Rick Butler, Bill Butler, four brothers, Harold Anderson of Mt. Clemens, Walter (Mary Ann) Anderson of Calumet, Donald (Gloria) Anderson of Farmington Hills, Arnie (Donna) Anderson of Escanaba, three sisters, Irene Kopus of California, Ellen Kaipponen of Traverse City, Ruth (William) Lucier of Hancock, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Carl Anderson, Paul Anderson and a sister Sarah Jennings. Memorial services will take place on Wed., Nov. 7, 2007 at Eleven a.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Rev. Mary Brown and Jean Thornell will officiate. Interment will take place in Lakeview Cemetery, Bellaire. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bellaire Senior Center or to Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.
