Erik J. Larsen, 40, of Central Lake, passed away on December 20, 2013. Erik was born on July 11, 1973, in Garden City, MI, the son of Howard Jr. and Katherine (Sebok) Larsen. Erik grew up in Garden City then moved to Central Lake following his work for Lamina Bronze in Bellaire. He was employed by Lamina Bronze for 19 years as a machinist and was currently employed by Echo Quality Grinding in Central Lake. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, bowling and golfing. Erik was an avid outdoorsman. He was a diehard fan of University of Michigan Football. On May 18, 2002, in Canton, MI, he married Chris Pierce who survives him. He leaves behind a 6 year old son Jacob Larsen, his mother Katherine Larsen of Garden City, MI, a brother Howie (Ann) Larsen of Southfield, MI, a sister Beth Larsen of Garden City, MI, 5 nephews, Matthew Larsen, Zachary Sparagna, Mario Sparagna, Christian Pierce, Isaac Misik and a niece Victoria Larsen. He was preceded in death by his father Howie Larsen Jr. and a brother-in-law Mario Sparagna. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 28 from 1-7 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with a Celebration of Life beginning at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
