Emilie L Dawson

Emilie L. Dawson 91 of Kewadin, died Aug 3, 2023.  She was born March 26, 1932 in Kewadin the daughter of Edward and Marie (Grib) Stahulak.

   Emilie was a lifelong resident of Kewadin.  She was an instrumental part of the 1^st roadside fruit and pie stand for “Cherry View Orchard” in Kewadin and was fondly known as the worlds “best” cherry pie maker.  She loved to visit with her grandchildren, play Yahtzee and the card game 13.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elk Rapids.

   Surviving are her children Stan (Barb) Dawson of Kewadin, Mary Margaret (Dave) Dorland of Central Lake, Christine (Bill) Clancy of Lakeville, MN, Phyllis (Richard) Rowell of South Boardman, Catherine Dawson of Acme, sisters Gerry Coughlin, Joan Jones both of Florida, 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.   She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Dawson, son Steve Dawson, son Gary Dawson and parents.

   She will be interred next to her husband Edwin in a private graveside at Lakeview Cemetery, Eastport. In memory of Emilie the family requests that you plant a tree.
