Emilie Albrecht

EMILIE ALBRECHT 95, of Kalkaska, formerly of Blue Lake Township, died on June 18, 2007 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Long Term Care.

Emilie was born on April 12, 1912 in Pforzheim, Germany, the daughter of Jakob and Ottilie (Krischler) Bausch.

Emilie came to the United States at the age of 12 and worked for Finsterwald in Detroit. She worked as a bookkeeper and an accountant and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, gardening and flowers.

She was a past member of the Order of Eastern Star, served on the Kalkaska Hospital Board, the Hospital Auxillary and was the Blue Lake Township Treasurer.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Rev. Kathy Steen officiated.

Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in Kalkaska.
