Ellen Umlor

Ellen A. Umlor, age 96, of Charlevoix passed away on January 22, 2018 at Munson Healthcare Charlevoix Hospital.

Ellen was born on October 14, 1921 in Boyne City, MI to the late John and Lilly (Laurrie) Jones.

Ellen enjoyed spending her time reading and volunteering for the Charlevoix Area Senior Center and at the hospital.

On March 23, 1945 Ellen married Lester Umlor who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son, Gregory Umlor and 5 siblings.

Ellen is survived by her children, Lester (Connie McCraney) Umlor of Charlevoix, David Umlor of Charlevoix, Michael (Tammy) Umlor of Rhinelander, WI, Carol Umlor of Bay Shore; grandchildren, Anthony Diaz, Linda Diaz, Amanda Diaz, Libby Umlor and 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Interment will take place in Spring of 2018 at Undine Cemetery in Hayes Township.

Memorial contributions in Ellen’s name may be directed to the Charlevoix Area Senior Center. Arrangements are being handled by the Winchester Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
