Elizabeth Ruth Warner, 74 of Key West, FL, died peacefully, Sat. June 3, 2017 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire, MI.

She was born Nov. 24, 1942 in Flint the daughter of Eugene and Ruth (Clark) Warner.

Elizabeth was a graduate of the University of Michigan and was a professor at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor.  Upon retirement she moved to Key West, FL and became an active member of the Writer’s Guild there.  Elizabeth was an award winning author and avid book reader.  She also enjoyed listening to jazz music.  She was a proud member of the Nat’l Organization of Women and was remembered by everyone she met.  Having a family cottage on Lake Bellaire, Elizabeth spent many summers enjoying the lake, water skiing, and visiting with her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her sisters Jeanne (Michael Utley) Warner of Brighton, Michelle (Gerald Cesarato) Warner of Flint, son Paul Jones, nephew Thomas McNally, niece Abigail (Rob) Camarota, great nephews Bobby, Andy, and Caleb Camarota, great nephews and nieces Amber (Jimmy) Yi, Keely, Michael, Mackenzie, Shannon, and Ryan McNally, and several great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Judy Warner and Deborah Ray, and nephew Timothy McNally.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate her life will be held Sat. July 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Blue Pelican Inn, 2535 N. Main St. Central Lake, MI 49622.
