Elizabeth Beger

ELIZABETH "BETTY" BEGER, 82, of Bellaire, died on February 27, 2011 at St. Rose San Martin Hospital in Las Vegas, NV. Betty was born on February 20, 1929 in Detroit, the daughter of Stanley and Helen (Fenski) Wojt. Betty was a Bellaire resident for the past 15 years and was a long time member of St. Luke Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, playing violin, crocheting, knitting, cross stitching, pinochle , wintering in Las Vegas and most of all enjoying time with her grandchildren. She wrote and published and book entitled "Drink Like a Lady" and was proud of her sobriety for the past 45 years. On November 22, 1951 in Detroit, she married Dale Beger who survives. Also surviving are 4 children, Melanie (Dirk) Huttenga of DeWitt, Cherie (Nick) Travis of Roseville, Bill Beger of Walker, Gary Beger of Kewadin, and 8 grandchildren, Corey, Ryan, Lucas, Shawn, Aaron, Patrick, Mathew and Jeremy. Preceding her in death were her parents and a son Robbie Beger. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, March 12 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church. Fr. James Gardiner will officiate. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Bellaire.
