Eldon Potter

Eldon J. Potter, 93, of Charlevoix, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Boulder Park Terrace in Charlevoix. He was born June 7, 1922, in Charlevoix, to Richard and Christine (Klooster) Potter. On April 8, 1947, he married Anah M. Harriman in Charlevoix. Eldie owned Potters Appliance and worked in home electronics repair retiring in 1990. He drove school bus for Charlevoix Public Schools for many years.

Eldon was a member of the Community Reformed Church in Charlevoix. He loved sports and golfed every day that he could. His family was most important to him.

He is survived by his wife, Anah; daughter, Cheryl Potter (Ray) Browe; sons, Larry R. (Peggy) Potter, and Jim (Judy) Potter all of Charlevoix; grandchildren, Kristen (Bill) Herriman, Elizabeth (Robert) Ahern, Jonathan (Angela) Browe, Michelle (Jason) Smith, Laura (Eric) Migda, Angie (Adam) Niemer, Ryan (Ashley) Potter, Ashley (Nick) Foltz; brothers, Robert (Mazie) Potter of Charlevoix, Ted (Doris) Potter of Houghton Lake. Eldie was preceded in death by his infant son, Robert; sisters, Betty Bergmann, Marion Heeres, Jean Cunningham, and brother, Harry Potter.

Visitation will be from 12 pm until until the time of the funeral at 2 pm, Tuesday, November 24, at the Community Reformed Church in Charlevoix, Jan Boss officiating. Burial will be at the Barnard Cemetery.
