Elaine B Stabnau

Elaine B. Stabnau 83, of Central Lake, died August 24, 2023 surrounded by her family.  She was born January 14, 1940 in Wayne, MI, the daughter of Elmer and Lucille (Radtke) Croton.

   Elaine enjoyed the outdoors, painting, doing puzzles and spending time on the lake.  She was a past member of the Oakman Post 81 VFW in Detroit for many years too. 

   Growing up, Elaine spent many years summering on Intermediate Lake.  Upon retiring in 1991 she finally moved here full time to enjoy all its beauty.

   Surviving are her children Jeanette (John) Jarosz of CA, Craig Cashion of Central Lake, Kelly (Mark) Hess of White Lake, grandchildren John Jarosz Jr., Casey Hess, Carter Hess, and Courtney Hess and her beloved dog Bear.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Daryl Croton, 2^nd husband Dennis Stabnau, and 1^st husband Marvin Lee Cashion.

   Elaine will be interred next to her husband Dennis in Southern Cemetery, Central Lake.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to the First Congregational Church of Central Lake, PO BOX 326, Central Lake, MI 49622.
