Edward Rey

Edward L. Rey,  78, of White Cloud, formerly of Charlevoix, passed away on April 6, 2019 in Fremont.

Eddie was born on August 28, 1940, in Beulah, MI, the son of Richard and Gladys (Long) Rey.

Eddie loved playing poker and watching his favorite shows,  Walker Texas Ranger and Westerns, especially Gun Smoke, Cisco Kid and the Lone Ranger.

Eddie is survived by 2 sisters, Helen (Don) Echtinaw of Grant, MI, Ruth Somero of Copemish, numerous nieces and a nephew. Along with Stacy and Ed's girls.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Franklin “Jack” Rey, and Jim Merrill, along with his long time girlfriend Kerri Samuelson.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Winchester Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Sara Goldberg officiating.

Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of services at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Charlevoix.

Arrangements are being handled by the Winchester Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
