Edward “Pete” Ditlow, 86, of Charlevoix, passed away April 13, 2020 at Munson Healthcare Charlevoix Hospital. Edward was born June 17, 1933 in White Cloud, MI to Albert Ditlow and Madeliene Lynnes.
Edward was a 1952 graduate of White Cloud High School, and later attended Michigan Technological University. He served in the Army during the Korean War, during which he met his wife, Thelma D. Ensing. The two married on October 4, 1956 in Fremont, MI. Edward enjoyed photography, playing the guitar, and was an avid reader. He was a member of the Norwood Community Church and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Ed is survived by his wife, Thelma D. Ditlow, two sons Kurt L. (Marygrace) Ditlow of Williamsburg, MI, Kip A. (Barbara) Ditlow of Eastport, MI and a daughter Kyle R. (Vincent J.) Harr of Houston, TX, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a brother Doran A. Ditlow of Alpena, MI. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Albert & Madeliene Ditlow, as well as a daughter, Kari Leonard.
