Edmund Hyde Lennington, C.D.T. born to Andrew Bell and Helen Gertrude McGowan June 15th, 1946 passed away Sunday October 9, 2016 at his home. Edmund grew up on Blueberry Hill in Antrim County, attended Michigan State University, graduated from Elkhart Indiana, and obtained certification as a dental technician. He was sole owner of Lennington Dental Laboratory for nearly 50 years. He enjoyed beach combing, sailing, traveling, rock collecting, and down hill and cross-country skiing. Edmund's farming pursuits included a Christmas tree plantation, goldenseal woodland plot, apple trees, and ginseng patch. Ed was an extremely skilled downhill skier and was stunt double for several skiing scenes in the James Bond movies. Also created the greatest Daddy Cookie recipe known to this day. He enjoyed negotiations between all of levels of local, city and state government, which provided much entertainment for him. His last project and one of his last wishes was he wanted Doerr Rd. to remain paved. Edmund was preceded in death by his parents, younger brothers Peter Marsh and Daniel Hasley Lennington and beloved wife LaDonna Ann Wasson Lennington. He is survived by his older brother Andrew Bell and younger brother Michael McGowan Lennington, his girlfriend ; Kim VanSice and his three daughters Michelle Ann, Jade LaDonna and Jessica Rochelle Lennington. He was well loved by many and will be greatly missed. Funeral service to be held at Fairview Cemetery,Custer Township, on October 15 at 11 am, followed by coffee and tea at 3775 Doerr Rd where all his friends and family are welcome to share memories. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your charity of choice. Arrangements have been handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
