Dwight Leeth

Dwight F. Leeth,  71, of Mancelona, passed away on December 15, 2020 at Munson Medical Center.

He was born on May 16, 1949, in Mt. Pleasant, MI, the son of Forrest and Eila (Kistler) Leeth.

He was a welder by trade, and owned and operated Dwight's Welding Service in Mancelona for 43 years.

Dwight enjoyed sky diving, flying in planes, traveling, boating and attending church at the Antrim Church of Christ in Mancelona.

On October 6, 2012 in Mancelona, he married Debra L. Lockard who survives.  Also surviving are 4 children, Lisa (Kevin) Hartley of Mancelona, Debbie Leeth of Mancelona, Cory Halford of MS, John Halford of Chicago, IL, 3 grandchildren, Laura Hartley, Sarah Hartley, Rebecca Halford, a brother Gale (Mary) Leeth of Clare, MI, 3 sisters, Shelley (Bob) Carter of Clare, MI, Theola (Ralph) Cleveland of Clare, Cheryl (Mike) Ashley of Farwell, MI as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Jeff Carter.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 18 from 6-8 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.  Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 19 at 12 noon at the Antrim Church of Christ in Mancelona.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona when weather permits in the spring.
