Doyle "Wayne" Horner

Doyle "Wayne" Horner, 76, of Bellaire, passed away on April 13, 2023, at Munson Medical Center. He was born March 26, 1947 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, the son of Andy and Gladys (Mobley) Horner.

Wayne proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was an active member in both the VFW and the American Legion for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman; he specifically enjoyed fishing and boating in his free time.

Surviving Wayne in death is one brother, Rodger Horner of Bellaire, one sister, Sharon Waterbury of Adrian, three nieces, Heather (Michael) Powers of Virginia, Melissa (John) Blair of Kentucky, Karen (David) Wilks of Bellaire, two nephews, David (Barb) Horner of Kalkaska, Steven (Jenna) Waterbury of Florida, several great-nieces and great-nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, infant brothers, Mark and Kenneth, Niece, Sheila Runyon, nephew Marc Waterbury.

Interment will take place on August 2, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.
