Douglas Jones

Douglas W. Jones, 55 of Charlevoix unexpectedly passed away at his home on May 11, 2017. Doug was born on March 20, 1962 in Columbus, OH to Bradley and Shirley (Small) Jones. He was a supervisor for Harbor Industries and was close with all of his work family. He was a fan of sports especially golfing and was an avid Detroit Red Wings Fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends particularly his trips to the Caribbean and weekends at the cottage.  He is survived by his parents, Bradley and Shirley Jones of Charlevoix, brothers, David (Karen) Jones of Loma Linda, CA, Steve (Terri) Jones of Perry, MI, nieces and nephews, Brad (Holly) Jones, Jamie (Chris) Nelson, Michael (Sheree) Jones, Courtney Jones, Brent Jones and 4 great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Petoskey with Pastor George Dronen officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2017 at the Winchester Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association.
