Dorothy May "Dottie" Peebles, 73 of Bellaire, formerly of Ellsworth, was taken suddenly from her loved ones, Thurs. Sept. 29, 2011. She was born May 23, 1938, in Flint, the daughter of Gilbert A. and Margaret L. (Comstock) Fisher. Dottie loved spending time with her family. They were the most important people in her life. She enjoyed bingo, going to the casino, and playing euchre. Dottie was a diehard Detroit Tigers fan and also like to morel mushroom hunt. She was a member of the Ladies auxiliary and volunteered at the Central Lake VFW. Dottie is survived by her former husband and lifelong friend John Peebles of Ellsworth 5 children Ken (Marsha) Peebles of Kalkaska, Rick Peebles of New York, Bill (Karolyn) Peebles of Central Lake, Michelle (Bobby Youmans) Peebles-Wirebaugh of Bellaire, Anita (Mike) Holton of Mancelona, 4 brothers Art (Marg) Fisher of Lake City, Al (Marsha) Becker of Central Lake, Bob (Mary) Becker of Detroit, Dan Becker of Detroit, adopted son Walt (Rhonda) Mann and daughter Noel Mann, 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren with one on the way, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Caroline Gallop, and brother Ted Fisher. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 8, at 1 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Al Becker Sr. officiating.
