DOROTHY J. MANN, 89, of Monroe, formerly of Bellaire, died on July 25, 2011 at the Foundation View Nursing Home in Monroe. Dorothy was born on October 13, 1921 in Petoskey, the daughter of Anton and Muriel (Kerry) Jensen. Dorothy graduated from Bellaire High School in 1938 then moved to Belleville before returning to Bellaire upon her retirement in 1980, after working for General Motors for over 27 years in Ypsilanti. Starting in 1980, she spent summers in Bellaire and winters in Florida. Then in 2004 she sold her homes, both in Bellaire and in Florida to move permanently to Monroe to be closer to her daughter and family. She attended the Bellaire Community United Methodist Church and was a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Bellaire. She is survived by a daughter Karen Agner of Monroe, 5 grandchildren, Darin Agner, Dwayne Agner, Laura(Bill) Bath, Michael Albert, Arthur Renaud, 6 great-grandchildren, Alicia, Stephanie and Trisha Agner, Kyle, Jacob and Grace Bath. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Albert, second husband Fred Mann, a son Thomas Dan Albert, grandson Dean Albert Agner and a brother Lyle Jensen. Funeral services will take place on Friday, July 29 at 2:00 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes, with Pastor Gary Bekkering officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services on Friday. Interment will follow in Southern Cemetery, Central Lake Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the Order of the Eastern Star, the Bellaire Senior Center or to the Charity of the donor's choice.
