Dorothy Anderson-Troyer

Dorothy Anderson-Troyer,  93, of Mancelona, passed away on November 18, 2017 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.

Dorothy was born on September 1, 1924, in Flint, the daughter of Leonard and Rheabelle (Greenfield) Meeker.

Dorothy enjoyed bingo, bowling and being outdoors with mother nature.  She also loved cooking and sharing with family.

She is survived by a son-in-law Howard Jones, daughter-in-law Georgie (Don) Sears, daughter-in-law Melody Anderson, 5 grandchildren, Anna (Dennis) Diehl, Tamela (RJ) Pelky, Craig (LaRee) Anderson, Kim (Michael) Ballard, Kevin Anderson, 6 stepchildren, Doris Barkovich, Kathy Spaulding, Ervin Troyer, Edward Troyer, Sheryl Harris, Pam Phelan, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Ernest Anderson, second husband Robert Wayne Troyer, three sons, Richard,  John , Eddie Anderson, a daughter Janet Jones, three granddaughters, Tina Jones, Kristi Anderson, Kathryn Anderson, two grandsons, Douglas Jones, Richard Anderson, three brothers, Leonard, Basil and Raymond Meeker, two sisters Joyce Nagel and Jean Johnston, as well as her parents.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 25, at 12 noon at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.  Rev. Glenn Bearss will officiate.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona.  A catered luncheon will be held at G's restaurant in Kalkaska following the burial.

Visitation will take place on Friday from 4-7 p.m. also at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cystic Fibrosis or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
