Dorothea (Clark) Arnott, nee Eggers

Dorothea E. (Clark) Arnott, nee Eggers, 74, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire. She was born April 10, 1942, in Petoskey. She worked for Boyne USA for twenty years before retiring. Following retirement, she traveled abroad with her brother, and throughout the United States.

She attended the First Presbyterian Church in East Jordan, and the Free Methodist Church in Boyne City.

Dorothea is survived by her children, Dennis (Cindi) Clark of East Jordan, Julie (Rick) Karlskin of Boyne City, Jake (Charlene) Clark of Kenosha, Wisc.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Lucille (Glen) Wilson, and Velma (Joe) Johnston all of East Jordan; brother, Jerry (Pat) Sweet of Boyne City. Dorothea was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Arnott; mother and father, Ethel and Frank Sweet; brothers, Ralph Eggers, and Larry Sweet; sisters, Sharon Hankins, and Hazel Johnson.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00PM, Friday, February 17, at the Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church, 3055 W Old State Rd, East Jordan, MI 49727. A luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall. Interment will take place at the Advance Cemetery.

Dorothea loved animals; therefore, in lieu of flowers, please make monetary donations to Julie Karlskin, (for spaying and neutering feral cats at the Jordan Valley Animal Clinic under the direction of Dr. Powers).
