Doris Smith

Doris L. Smith,  90, of Bellaire, passed away on April 8, 2018 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.

Doris was born on July 31, 1927, in Fountain, MI, the daughter of Harry and Nora (James) Taylor.

Doris was a longtime resident of Bellaire and enjoyed fishing, crafting, knitting, crocheting, sewing and painting.

She is survived by 5 children, Larry Smith of Gaylord, Denise (Ken) Kleeman of Mancelona, Carol (Ronald) Fent of Bellaire, Eric (Brenda) Smith of Bellaire, and Dana (Carl) Draher of Bellaire.

In addition to her children she is survived by 18 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, a brother Harry (Barb) Taylor of Skandia, MI, as well as numerous extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas Smith, 2 sons, Kevin and Andy Smith, a granddaughter Amy Meteer, many brothers and sisters as well as her parents.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Central Lake Bible Baptist Church with Visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service.  Pastor Russell Tharp will officiate.

Burial will take place at a later date at Eldred Cemetery, Kearney Township.

Arrangements are being handled by the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
