Donna Swan

Donna Jean Swan (Morgan) died peacefully at her home on Torch Lake Michigan October 26, 2015. She was 86. Born in 1929 in Lansing Michigan to Nora and Russel Morgan she graduated from Eastern High School. After raising 6 children she returned to college and graduated from MSU at the age of 50. Donna was active in golf, all water sports, snow skiing and was a master bridge player. She loved travel and visited several countries with her beloved husband of 64 years, Harry C Swan who proceeded her in death February 29, 2015. Harry and Donna raised their children in East Lansing, Michigan. Later, making Torch Lake Michigan and Longboat Key Florida their home. Donna is survived by her brother, Ronald Morgan of East Lansing, son James of Seattle WA, and daughters Susan (Robbie) Gustomski of Bradenton Florida, Wendy (Tres) Hobbie of Truckee CA, Margaret Davies of Okemos MI, Donna Swan Jr .of Haslett MI and Kathy Cunningham of North East PA. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Hospice Care of Michigan for the remarkable and compassionate care she received toward and during the end of her life. We would also like to acknowledge her very special caregiver of two years Sarah Moore. Services will be held next summer.
