Donna Lee

Donna M. Lee, 88, of Mancelona, passed away November 10, 2012 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility. Donna was born May 5, 1924 in Mancelona, the daughter of Harley and Luella Holderman. Donna attended St. Anthony Catholic Church for many years. She proudly was a "Rosie the Riveter" in WWII as she was married for three days before her husband left for WWII. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family. On December 16, 1942 in Mancelona, she married the love of her life, Robert "Earl" Lee who survives. Also surviving are three children, Marie (Larry) Hamblin, Robert (Sherry) Lee all of Mancelona and Donald Lee of Bellaire; five grandchildren, RaeAnn Thompson, Jimmy Hamblin, Amanda Lee, Tishia Lee and Melissa Lee; five great-grandchildren, Caleb, Cooper, Riley, Isabelle, and Trevor; several nieces, nephews and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Roy Kiel; twin brother, Donald; and sister, Viola. A Celebration of Life Service will be Sunday, May 5, 2013 1 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Father Dale Magoon officiating.
