Donald Thomas

Donald A. Thomas,  71, of Central Lake, passed away on August 23, 2021 at the Hiland Cottage in Petoskey.

Don was born on May 22, 1950, in Ypsilanti, MI, the son of Harold and Jean (Bush) Thomas.

He was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps and earning the rank of CPL/E-4.

On June 4, 2004, in Bellaire, he married Rene Sue Tedder who survives.   Also surviving are a brother Dennis Thomas of Southgate, MI, 2 sisters, Sally Veristo of Central Lake and Suzanne Thomas of FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother David Thomas and a sister Nancy Thomas.

Don will be buried in the near future with military honors at the Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI.   Date and time of military honors are pending at this time and will be made public when scheduled.

Arrangements are being handled by the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
