Donald Seifried

Donald E. Seifried, 97 of Fruitland Park, FL and formerly of Central Lake, MI, died peacefully, June 30, 2024. He was born July 21, 1926 in North Gage, NY the son of Ernest and Mabel (Brucker) Seifried.

 Don proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in World War II with the United States Army. He dedicated his life to serving others and was a member of the Central Lake Lions Club for 58 years. He was also a lifetime member of the First Congregational Church in Central Lake. 

 Surviving is his daughter Gayle (Michael) Stallcup of DeWitt, MI, partner of 25 years Nancy Weston of Fruitland Park, FL, stepdaughters Judy (Bob) Hoopfer of Lady Lake, FL, Shirley (Paul) McDowell of Lady Lake, FL, brother Daniel (Beverly) Seifried of Barnerveld, NY, sister-in-law Mary F. Seifried, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

 He was preceded in death by 2 wives, Mary Seifried and Eve Seifried, son Donald E. Boh, brother Ernest Seifried Jr., stepdaughter Linda Lockhart, step granddaughter Dhana Lockhart Elsenheimer, and step grandson Chance McDowell.

 A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 7th at 2 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the First Congregational Church in Central Lake with Pastor Gary Bekkering officiating. A luncheon will follow. Memorial contributions can be given to the Central Lake Lions Club, the First Congregational Church Parish Nurse Program or General Fund or Charity of Ones Choice.
