Donald E. Marsh Jr., 73, of Pullman, formerly of Stevensville, MI died peacefully, Wed. Jan. 11, 2012 with his wife at his side. He was born July 27, 1938 in Royal Oak, the son of Donald E. Sr. and Annabelle (Farnwalt) Marsh. The family moved to Central Lake when Don was young where he lived until his early twenties. Don proudly served in the US Navy, Marines, Air Force and Army National Guard. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Galien, MI, and a life member of the North American Hunt Club. He was also a member of the Praise Tabernacle Church and attended Central Bible College. He was a gentle man who did it all. He was a truck driver, carpenter, masonry, bus driver, minister and even sold real estate. Don enjoyed spending his spare time hunting, fishing, singing and watching Star Trek. On March 29, 1959 in Central Lake, he married the love of his life, Audrey Zook, who survives. Also surviving are his son David (Debbie) Marsh of Noble, Oklahoma and daughter Cheryl (Christopher) Smith of LaPorte, Indiana, sisters Donalee (Ron) Bennett of East Jordan, Dorothy (Nelson) Bennett of East Jordan and Mabel (Ivan) Parsons of Mancelona, 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth, and brothers John, Ron, George, and Dean. Funeral services will take place Mon. Jan. 16, 2012 at Three p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes will Pastor Barry Brown officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Southern Cemetery.
