Donald LaKies

Donald Eugene LaKies 60 of St. Louis, formerly of Mancelona passed away Jan. 13, 2014 at Gariot Hospital in Alma.

Don was born March 12, 1953 at Meadow Brook Hospital in Bellaire. The son of Fred and Florence (Neil) LaKies.

He is survived by siblings Robert (Shirley) LaKies of King, N.C., Barbara (Terry) Flaugher of Spring Hill, Fl., and Linda (Jeff) Thomas of Fife Lake, MI; eight nieces and nephews; sixteen great nieces and nephews and one great-great nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents and Brother-in-law John Ingersoll.

Don was an animal lover and enjoyed taking walks. No services are planned at this time. He will be interred at Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona in the Spring. The Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes is handling the arrangements. Please sign his guestbook at www.mortensenfuneralhomes.com
