Donald Gould

Donald L. Gould, 91, of Antrim County for the last 38 years, and formerly of Lansing, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family Friday, April 1, 2011. He was born December 23, 1919, in Brant, MI, the son of Archebald and Florence (DeClarenze) Gould. Don proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a very gentle man who enjoyed being around his family. He also enjoyed nature, boating, skeet shooting and camping. Don was a member of the Central Lake Seventh Day Adventist Church. On August 9, 1945 in Lansing, he married the love of his life, Audrey A. Adams, who survives him. They enjoyed a very close and loving relationship for the last 65 years. He is also survived by a daughter Susan (Jerry) Nickel of St. Johns, grand children Phil (Amanda) Welsh of St. Johns and Mark (Eulalie) Welsh of Portland, OR, and great granddaughter Leila Welsh. He was preceded in death by his parents. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements have been handled by the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
