Donald Douglas, Sr

Donald L. Douglas Sr., 77, of Alden passed away May 23, 2014 at his home. Don was born September 2, 1936 in Birch Run the son of Marion and Alice (Beach) Douglas. Don was a Truck Driver for many years. He enjoyed going to the Casino, watching the humming birds, mushroom picking and cooking. His pride and joy was his family. On August 4, 1984 in Bellaire he married Arla Robinson. Also surviving are his children, Terri (Gary) Stingley of Mancelona, Donald Jr (Geanne) Douglas of Alden, Barney Douglas of Alden, Micheal (Lisa) Robinson of Alden, Deene Robinson of Alden, Kevin (Danielle) Douglas of Alden, Tonya (Mitchell) Seeley of Alden, Anndrea (Rick) Riley of Mancelona and Savana Douglas of Alden; sisters, Donna Cooper of Saginaw and Alice Cooper of Kalkaska; mother-in-law, Lois Robinson of Alden; many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary Douglas; granddaughter, Natasha Douglas; sisters, Marion and Ruthie and brother, Duane. No services are planned at this time. Cremation will take place per his wishes. The Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes is handling the arrangements.
