Donald E. Brown, 44 of Bellaire, died peacefully, Wed. Feb. 13, 2013 at home. He was born Apr. 19, 1968, in Pontiac to Floyd and Linda (Stevenson) Brown. Living in northern Michigan for the last 15 years, Don was an avid outdoors man and was known by his friends as the last frontiersman. He loved spending his time hunting, fishing, and trapping in the wilderness. He also enjoyed dog training and gardening. Don was a life member of the NRA, USPSA, Clan Lamont Society of North America and the Chain O' Lakes Sportsman's Club. He belonged to the Hell's our Home Motorcycle Club and enjoyed riding his motorcycle whenever he could. Don was also an ordained minister and held certificates of achievement in robotics, computer programming, and electrical engineering. He was also a talented carpenter and woodworker. Before he became ill he enjoyed coaching the youth shotgun league at the Sportman's Club. He was an avid marksman and enjoyed sharing his talent and knowledge with anyone who asked. Don also dabbled in taxidermy in his spare time. On Jan. 23, 2010 Don married Trina McDuffie who survives. Also surviving are his children Lynsey and Stephanie Brown, Carli Brown, stepson Alex Ott, brothers Haskel (Tammy) Endicott and Morgan Brown, sisters Leslie (Matthew) Osborn , Carolyn (Ron) Gotte, Jennifer (Lonnie) Ingle , mother Linda (Haskel) Endicott, father Floyd (June) Brown, grandparents Betty and Gene Janos, and his beloved dogs. A memorial service will be held Sat. Feb. 23, at 11 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church with Fr. James Gardiner officiating, with a luncheon to follow. A wake will be held by the Hell's Our Home Motorcycle Club in Rapid City after the luncheon. All are welcome.
