Donald Austin

Donald C. Austin, 78, of Bellaire, passed away on July 5, 2016 at his home. Donald was born on October 12, 1937, in Forest Home Township, MI, the son of William and Doris (Dewey) Austin. Donald was a lifelong resident of Bellaire and was employed by Lamina Bronze for many years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and woodcutting. On August 1, 1970, in Kalkaska, he married Susan M. Austin who survives. Also surviving are three brothers, Bill (Anna) Austin of Ellsworth, Larry (Glennis) Austin of Bellaire, Dick (Carol) Austin of Bellaire, a sister, Charlene Austin also of Bellaire, sister-in-law Linda Worth of Kalkaska, brother-in-law Larry (Debbie) Olsen of Reno, NV, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Private family services will take place. At a later date there will be a memorial service at a place and time to be announced in the future.
