Dona Klooster

Dona L. Klooster, 85, of Charlevoix died Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Hiland Cottage in Petoskey.

She was born March 5, 1933 in Charlevoix to Frank and Lila (Herbert) McFarland.

On September 8, 1956 she married James Klooster in Marion Township. They lived in Charlevoix. Mr. Klooster died in 2005.

Dona was a member of the Community Reformed Church in Charlevoix.

Surviving are her children Nathan (Joy) Klooster, Charles (Alida) Klooster, and Karen Klooster all of Charlevoix; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters Mona Struthers of Charlevoix and Betty Anderson of Ellsworth. She was preceded in death by two sons, David Klooster and Michael Klooster and her sister Charlene Pierce.

Friends may call at Hastings Funeral Home in Ellsworth on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Community Reformed Church in Charlevoix with the Rev. Chip Sauer officiating – with visitation from noon to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Barnard Cemetery.
