Dolores Edwards

Dolores Edwards, 92 passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Meadowbrook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire Michigan. She was born May 26, 1927 in Canonsburg Pennsylvania to John and Stella Malcosky.

Dolores grew up in Passaic New Jersey before marrying Franklin Edwards in 1947. They soon moved to Midland to begin their family. Hank was a chemist at Dow Chemical. Dolores worked as a lab assistant at Goodyear before the birth of their first son Philip. She then dedicated her efforts to raising her children, Phil, Cathy and Rick.

She was remembered as being very artistic and creative. She had a flair and style for decorating and passed her love of modern design and art on to her children. She loved to entertain family and spend time with her grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Alison Richardson( Will Ott) of Ann Arbor,  Kelly Richardson of Brooklyn NY, and Nick Manfredine of Spring Lake, MI.

She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin Edwards and parents John and Stella Malcosky. She is survived by her three children, Phil Edwards ( Laura) of Atwood, Cathy Richardson ( John) of Petoskey, Rick Edwards (Paula) of West Olive and previously mentioned grandchildren and brother John Malcosky of Florida.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Heritage Haus and Meadowbrook for the loving care she was given these past years and special family friend Char Lundy- parish nurse from First Congregational Church of Central Lake for her support, prayers and comfort.
