D. LOUISE KLINE 80, of Mancelona, died on Sun., Sept. 28, 2008 at her home. Louise was born on December 30, 1927 in Ionia, Michigan, the daughter of Russell and Mary (Brown) Holcomb. Louise was a resident of Mancelona since 1943 where she moved from Ionia. She attended the Mancelona United Methodist Church as well as the Mancelona Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed word seek puzzles, birdwatching, working in flower gardens, baseball, crafts and country music and in her younger years could be found rock hunting, fishing and camping. She was a proud grandmother who was known for her potato salad and baking cookies and bread. She is survived by two children, Sandra (Ron) Churchill of Mancelona, Marla (Russ) Steinhoff of East Jordan as well as 12 grandchildren Joel Churchill, Nick Churchill, Rusty Steinhoff, Jason Steinhoff, Sarah (Josh) Sheridan, Amy Churchill, Allie Steinhoff, Andrew Steinhoff, Jacob Steinhoff, Jenny Steinhoff, Olivia Steinhoff, Jayden Steinhoff and two great grandchildren, Taylor and Madison Sheridan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George "Clint" Kline, a sister Laura Kline and a brother Merle Holcomb. A memorial service will take place on October 11, 2008 at Four p.m. at the Mancelona Free Methodist Church. Rev. Gerald and Ellen Cook and Pastor Steve Weinberger will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Munson Hospice or to the Antrim County Commission on Aging. Arrangements were handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
