Diane Marie Glumb 85 of Williamsburg passed away peacefully, October 30, 2022 at the Medilodge of Leelanau. She was born July 26, 1937 in Detroit the daughter of Peter and Mary (Brauner) Enderle.
Diane grew up in Livonia and graduated from Bentley High School in 1955. In 1958 she married the love of her life, George Glumb. In 1973 they relocated to Elk Rapids where Diane was a legal secretary in Elk Rapids for many years.
She and George did everything together. They loved Elk Lake and taking boat rides, listening to music and going dancing too. Diane liked to entertain and always greeted her family and friends with one of her famous pies. She liked to read, loved to cook, and take mystery trips with her friends.
Her number one priority in life was her family. She was a passionate and loving mother and grandma who could be found on the sidelines and bleachers of all sporting events and concerts for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always there for them and loved having them around and being involved.
Surviving are her husband of 64 years George Glumb, daughter Janet (Chris) Hubbell of Williamsburg, brother Pete Enderle of Chelsea, grandchildren Brandon (Beth), Michael (Whitney), great grandchildren Blake, Easton, Maggie, Quinn, Ashlynn, Jaxon, and many loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and son David Glumb.
Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated Friday, November 11th at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Elk Rapids with Rev. Robert J. Zuchowski presiding. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Elk Rapids. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to the Elk Rapids District Library, PO BOX 337, Elk Rapids, MI 49629 or Elk Rapids Twp. Fire Department, PO BOX 502, Elk Rapids, 49629.
