Dennis Hittle Sr.

Dennis Leonard Hittle Sr., 72, of Alden, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.  He was born on August 18, 1947 in Kalkaska, MI, the son of Eli Ford and Donna (Angel) Hittle.

Dennis loved his family above everything else, especially when he got to hold babies, of which there were many.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, telling jokes, racing cars, and driving trucks.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Hildebrand; ten children, Denny (Debbie) Hittle of Rapid City, Florence (Ty) Phillips of Rapid City, Missy Klintworth, Eli (Nicole) Hittle of Kalkaska, Duane (Marie) Hittle of Arizona, Harold (Donna) Hittle of Bellaire, Jacob Hildebrand of Alden, David (Alice) Hildebrand of Mancelona, Steven (Carla) Hildebrand of Mancelona, and Eddie (Tara) Hildebrand of Mancelona; one brother, Burton HIttle of Alden; three sisters, Barb Thornburg of Kalkaska, Ellen (Grady) Slade of Louisiana, and Sylvia Miller of Alden; over 40 grandchildren and over 50 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Denver Hildebrand; two brothers, Mark Hittle, and Willard Hittle; three grandchildren, Dayton, Leonard, and Dezyl; a nephew, Scotty; as well as his parents.

A celebration of life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Freedom Park in Rapid City, MI.
