Delmar Skinkle

Delmar Skinkle, 78, of Bellaire, passed away on September 13, 2014 at Munson Medical Center. Del was born on February 2, 1936, in Central Lake, the son of Harold and Isabelle (Scott) Skinkle. Del resided in Bellaire and Florida for many years and owned and operated Del's Landscaping and Irrigation. He was a very helpful neighbor to many and enjoyed working on his yard as well as many other projects around his home. He is survived by 4 daughters, Darlene Gustinis of Highland, MI, Deborah (Dan) Herron of Holly, MI, Diana (Greg) Brabant of LaPeer, Delores (Jeff) Weaver of Florida, 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, a brother Al Skinkle of Bellaire, a sister Reva (Jerry) Ervin of Traverse City and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Sally Skinkle, a grandson David Holinski, a sister Betty Boogren, a brother Don Skinkle and his parents. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, September 18 at 11:00 a.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Pastor Gary Bekkering will officiate. Interment will follow in Dunsmore Cemetery, Echo Township. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. also at the funeral home.
