Deborah D. Osterlin, 61 of Bellaire, died suddenly, Sun. Aug. 13, 2017 at home.
She was born Oct. 13, 1955 in Flint, the daughter of Leo and Jeanette (Herman) Osterlin. She grew up in Flint, before moving to Benzonia for her adult years.
Deborah was a lifelong caregiver. She worked for many years with the elderly and the developmentally disabled. She also volunteered for many years at the Good Samaritan in Ellsworth, caring for all those in need. Deborah had a big heart and special love of caring for babies, children and especially animals.
In her spare time Deborah enjoyed classic black and white movies, and also listening to classical music. She enjoyed the beach and the sunshine.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Alyssa (Adam) O’Brien of Traverse City, her sister Sandra (Bob) Malley, her brothers Michael Osterlin, Larry (Diane) Osterlin, 6 nieces and nephews and her faithful dog companions Gus & Molly. Preceding her in death were her parents.
A celebration of life will be held Fri. Aug. 18, at 6 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Home with a cookie reception to follow. The family will also receive friends from 5 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial donations can be given to the Antrim County Animal Shelter or A.C. Paws.
