David Joseph (D. J.) Felker, 43, passed away Tuesday December 6th, 2017, peacefully in his sleep. D.J. will be remembered for his easy-going nature, kind and loving heart, and incredible devotion and love for his family. He loved his long-time companion and dog Dakoda Mae, and being fun Uncle D.J. He had an amazing work ethic and was a talented carpenter and mason. He was so proud of all the stone landscaping projects he had done with his brother Scott over recent years. D.J. enjoyed going to concerts and absolutely loved music. His collection was an interesting mix of everything from country to rock. He especially loved a good, thrashing heavy metal song. He loved hoodies, the outdoors, Sunday football and playing games with his family. He was fortunate to have lived across the country and made many friends along the way in California, Montana, Arizona, and Alaska. He so fondly reflected on his years in Montana and all the people and wonderful memories there.
He is survived by his son, Talon Felker, his parents, David and Cynthia Felker, brother Scott (Kory), sisters Sara (Patrick) Looney and Amy Kennedy, Kelly Coy, John Kennedy, as well as a nephew and eight nieces.
A celebration of his life will be held on July 14th at the home of Scott and Kory Felker.
Arrangements have been handled by the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Please sign his online guestbook www.mortensenfuneralhomes.com.
