David Swikoski

David J. Swikoski, 64, of Mancelona, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Munson Hospice House. David was born March 18, 1948 in St. Joseph, the son of John and Loretta Swikoski. David proudly served his country in the United States Army and then the United States Navy for several years. He enjoyed woodworking and having coffee with his friends at the local restaurant. He is survived by two children, Jennifer Rodriguez and Jamey Swikoski of Mancelona; his brother, Rick (Betty) Swikoski of North Dakota; his sister, Mary (Randy) Buyze of Mancelona; four granddaughters, Tierra, Ashley, Gabby and Haley; several nieces, nephews and friends. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Joshua Rodriguez; his brother, James Swikoski; and his nephew, Martin Swikoski. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, November 16, 2012 at the Rapid River Township Hall.
