David Norman

David R. Norman, 83, of Bellaire, passed away on September 8, 2016 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility. David was born on November 21, 1932, in Des Moines, IA, the son of Glenn and Florence (Held) Norman. David served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and enjoyed camping and fishing. On Feb. 5, 1957, he married Charlotte West who survives. Also surviving are six children, David (Theresa) Norman of Great Falls, MT, Ruth (Roar) Sand of Bellaire, Deborah (Giovanni) Luce of Southgate, MI, Roy (Jill Harper) Norman of Freeland, MI, Walter (Kim Tasselmyer) Norman of Dearborn Heights, MI, Gwen (Keith) Martin of Long Beach, MS, 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, a brother Glenn (Marilyn) Nuckolls of Altoona, IA, and a sister Lana Bieghler of Des Moines, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, September 10 at 1:00 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Pastor Brian Yost will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility. Arrangements are being handled by the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
