David Lock

David A. Lock, 23 of Macomb and Mancelona, died suddenly, March 16, 2016. David was born on August 10, 1992 in Killeen, TX to David and Mona (Bancroft) Lock.

David was a proud father who loved to spend his time outdoors going on 4-wheeler rides, mudding, 2-tracking, hunting, fishing and snowboarding. He especially enjoyed his time outside when he could travel up north and spend time with his family in Mancelona.

David is survived by his parents David and Mona Lock of Macomb, girlfriend Heather Ashley Smith, son David Anthony Smith of Macomb, brother Colin Lock of Macomb, paternal grandfather James Lock of Wickenburg, AZ, maternal grandparents Jack and Ramona Bancroft of Mancelona, uncles Jack (Hiedi) Bancroft of Mancelona, Tyrin (Lonna) Lock of Wickenburg, AZ, aunt Mary Bancroft of Mancelona along with multiple cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Marilynn Joan (Wright) Lock and Great Aunt Bubba, Sandra Leigh Wright.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 20, at 2 p.m at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Louis Scholl officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 19, from Noon until 8 p.m. also at the funeral home.

Burial will take place Monday, March 21, at 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in David's name may be directed to a charity of one's choice.
