DAVID L. BUCK 16, of Traverse City, formerly of Mancelona, died on Sun., Nov. 23, 2008 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center. Dave was born on Dec. 17, 1991 in Traverse City, the son of Edward Jr. and Rebecca (Youmans) Buck. Dave had a wonderful personality and was loved by anyone whoever met him. He attended Mancelona Public Schools where he played football. He attended Pathway Community Church and enjoyed riding 4 wheelers, playing video games, music, and playing football. He had resided in Traverse City for the past year but previously resided in Mancelona. Dave is survived by his parents Ed and Becky Buck of Traverse City, two brothers, Neil and Bradley Buck of Traverse City, his maternal grandmother, Alice (Russ) Watrous of Bellaire, maternal grandfather James (Theresa) Youmans of Central Lake, paternal grandparents Edward Sr. (Terese) Buck of Bellaire, his girlfriend Brittany Mehlberg of Mancelona, and several aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles and many cousins. Funeral services will take place on Sat., Nov. 29, 2008 at One p.m. at the Pathway Community Church in Mancelona. Dan Grimes will officiate. Visitation will take place on Sat. from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Memorials made be made to the Community Resource Development, c/o Mancelona Public Schools, Attn: Kristin Witt, PO BOX 739, Mancelona, Michigan 49659 to support the Hat and Mitten Drive. Interment will take place in Southern Cemetery, Central Lake. Arrangements are being handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
