David Bills

David B. Bills, 50, of Mancelona, passed away on July 11, 2015 at Munson Medical Center. Dave was born on July 8, 1965 in Kirksville, Missouri, the son of Donald and Bonnie (Hawley) Bills. Dave was employed in the oil field industry for many years and enjoyed hunting, fishing, grilling out, and gardening, especially growing his tomatoes. He had a special love for spending time with his grandchildren. On September 29, 2007, in Petoskey, he married Janet Marie Peters who survives. Also surviving are 2 children, Alisia Sirmons of Ecorse, MI, Mary (Nate) Gross of Mancelona, his parents, Donald and Bonnie Bills of Bellaire, a brother Rob (Amy) Bills of Shreveport, LA, a sister Donna (Kurt) McDowell of Newaygo, MI, 6 grandchildren, Autumn Houghton, Vanessa Sirmons, Madison Sirmons, Cadin Sirmons, Emily Gross, Hailey Gross as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a grandson Caleb Gross. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Yousef "Yogi" Jabara will officiate. Visitation will take place from 5 p.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona.
