Davey Homan

Davey L. Homan, 75, of Mancelona, passed away July 18, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born November 1, 1937 in Petoskey, the son of Ralph and Anna (Hazard) Homan. On September 30, 1961 he married Sharon Andersen. He is also survived by three children, Mitchell Scott and Terry Michael both of Mancelona, and Kim (Allen) Hebden of Traverse City; five grandchildren, Chad and Emily Homan, Brittney, Parker and Tommy Hebden. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Don and sister, Marjorie. He served in the Army from 1961-1963 at Fort Hood, Texas. He enjoyed ice fishing, working in his yard and spending time with his family. He was employed at Lamina in Bellaire for 35 years. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2013 at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Yousef "Yogi" Jabara officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital or Salvation Army.
