Dave VanSice

Dave VanSice, 66, of Bellaire, Michigan, finally decided to take a damn day off.
On March 22, 2021, surrounded by his family and a lifetime of taxidermy, our adventurous outdoorsman, creative mind & artist, renowned builder-entreprenuer, and "Warrior of the Woods", left for his next big adventure.
Dave's resilience, strong will, and perseverance were matched by his sharpness and wit. If he wasn't cracking jokes while pounding nails, he was cracking jokes and inviting you to coffee in front of the fire. An early riser; up with the sun to "shoot the shit".
"Harry" was husband to Jamie VanSice; father to Christopher, Jeremy, Paige, Parker, Chance, and Scout; brother to Leora "Pooch" VanSice-Hughes, and Craig VanSice; "Papa Dave" to Jonah, Emma, Linus, Maxx, Jett, and Connor; loyal partner-in-crime to best friends, Dave Robb and Ronnie Patton, and spoke highly of faithful companion and work partner, Cliff Hockridge.
Dave's family and friends will be sharing memories, photos, service, and lunch at Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church on Friday, March 26, at 12pm. We hope you'll join us in remembering Dave.
In lieu of flowers, the family is graciously accepting donations through the VanSice Memorial Fund of Alden State Bank, Bellaire.
