Darline Youmans

Darline Youmans, 82, of Central Lake, died Tues. Dec. 20, 2011 at Munson Medical Center, Traverse City. She was born Mar. 5, 1929 in Central Lake the daughter of Orson and Eva Mae (McDowell) Barber. Darlene lived most of her life in Central Lake and worked for Central Lake Industries for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family. On Mar. 5, 1946 in Traverse City, she married Thomas Youmans who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Janet Lynn, grandson Ted Staph, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by her children Thomas (Kathy) Youmans, Larry (Carla) Youmans, James (Theresa) Youmans, Earl Youmans, Mark (Monna) Youmans, Patricia Smith, 20 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, brother Orson (Beverly) Barber, sisters Fay McGillis and Diane (Cliff) Boatright, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thurs. Dec. 22, 2011 at Eleven a.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Rev. Dave Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Southern Cemetery, Central Lake. The family will receive friends Wed.
