Darlene L. Brady, (Roach) 56, of Central Lake, passed away on January 4, 2014 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, following complications of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. Darlene was born on December 20, 1957, in Wyandotte, MI, the daughter of Carl and Barbara (Stedman) Brady. Darlene was a resident of Belleville, MI, for many years prior to moving to Central Lake 30 years ago. She attended the Bible Baptist Church in Central Lake and was a past member of the Central Lake Ladies Auxillary. She enjoyed cooking, reading and being in the outdoors which is what brought her to northern Michigan. She is survived by 3 sons, Ronald (Rebecca) Allard of Minnesota, Scott (Nadia) Allard of Petoskey, Samuel (Jamie) Roach of Rapid City, 12 grandchildren, Logan Elijah, Charity Louise, Ronald Elisha, Josiah Carl Allard, Corbin William, Aidan Nelson, Laila Renee, Isaiah Scott Allard, Sienna Lynn, Hayden Joseph, Kellen Edward, Harper Rae-Louise Roach. Also surviving are her father Carl Brady of Central Lake, a sister Geraldine (Richard) Holmes of Ann Arbor, MI, a brother Lance L (Claudia) Brady of Farmington Hills, MI, several nieces and nephews and her best friend Lynn Samuel of Central Lake. She was preceded in death by her mother Barbara Brady and her grandparents. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, January 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Pastor Russell Tharp will officiate. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Southern Cemetery, Central Lake Township.
