Daniel Loeffler Sr

Daniel P. Loeffler Sr., 83, of Central Lake, died Tues. Dec. 8, 2009 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire. He was born Nov. 27, 1926, in Detroit, the son of Paul and Helen (Miller) Loeffler. Dan was a self employed painter most of his life. He moved to Central Lake 30 years ago and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. He also enjoyed spending time in his yard doing lawn maintenance. On May 2, 1968, in Detroit he married Joyce Crofford who preceded him in death in 2007. He was also preceded in death by his parents and his brother John. Dan is survived by his children Daniel (Nancy) of Central Lake, Linda of Romulus, Kristine (Bill) of Canton, Carol (Jack) of Lake City, and Bill (Flo) of White Lake. He is also survived by his brother Thomas (Edna) of Northport, 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sat. Dec. 12, at 2 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Fr. James Gardiner officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
