Daniel Laginess Jr.

It is with great sadness that the family of Daniel Kenneth Laginess Jr. announces his passing on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the age of 64. He is survived by his daughters Sherry, Angie, and Danielle Laginess. Dan will be fondly remembered by his sisters Barb, Pat, and Laurie and brother Mark. Dan was predeceased by his father Daniel Kenneth Laginess Sr., mother Shirley Ann Laginess, and his faithful dog Toby. Dan will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Daniel was a graduate of Chadsey High School in Detroit, Michigan and proudly served as a Sergeant and K-9 handler in the United States Air Force as a Security Police Officer. He was a caring man who spent his time as a volunteer firefighter, was a Deputy Sheriff’s Officer for the Roscommon County Sheriff’s Department, and was an active and proud member of the Patriot Guard and Nozzleman Motorcycle Club.

A celebration of Dan’s life will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery where he will receive full military honors on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 2pm.
