DANIEL R. CERNY, 78, of Bellaire, passed away on February 20, 2013 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Long Term Care. Daniel was born on December 3, 1934, in Chicago, IL., the son of John and Ella Cerny. Daniel was known as a "hard worker" to all who knew him and was employed as a pressman for National Business Forms in Elk Grove Village Illinois for 25 years. He was a Bellaire resident since 2000 and served his country honorably in the United States Army. In 1961, in Chicago, he married Arlene Kolbus, who survives. Also surviving are a son Robert (Margaret) of Bellaire and Floyd, Va., a daughter Sandy (Terry) of Hanover Park, IL., 2 brothers, twin brother Louis Cerny of Chicago, Bill (Theresa) Cerny of Chicago, 6 grandchildren, Andrew, Brendin, Stefnie, Greg, Nicole, Timmy and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Jack Cerny and a sister Delores Cerny. Funeral services, with military honors, will take place on Saturday, February 23, at 7:00 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Steve Eccles officiating Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.
